1954 Error 3 pence, Double Struck
A nice error coin which has been double struck at about 5 o'clock on the reverse.
Dark toning.

Major mint errors like brockages, double/triple struck coins, clipped planchets etc. are highly valued and collected in the US and they are begining to catch on in the UK. Gonna are the days where some collectors would shun them as being damaged, major error coins are in fact rare and most often then not unique, by that I mean you may find another double struck or clipped planchet coin of the same type however the second strike or clip will be in a different place or size to any other one out there.
